The app is free to download, but you'll need a subscription to make it work. See the pricing page for more info on subscribing.
Yes, PandaPow offers extremely strong (2048-bit) encryption. So you're safe. The encryption applies to all internet traffic that you send and receive, including emails, chat messages, et c.
Sign up for an account on our Pricing page, then you will receive a username and password. Download the Android app and sign in with the username password. Then you just turn the VPN on, and once connected you just use the internet as usual, but with the extra freedom and protection from the VPN.
PandaPow has servers all over the USA, as well as in Europe and Asia. Which one is the best to connect to depends both on where you are, and where you want to go, i.e. what sites you want to access. If you're just out to secure your email or access some blocked sites, then you might want to pick a server location close to your actual location. If you're looking to stream video or music from some specific site, you probably need to select a server in the same country as that site.
A malicious application could create a VPN connection in order to intercept all network traffic to and from your device. The Android system therefore makes sure you are aware that an application you use creates a VPN connection, and that you trust this application.
You don't. If yo make sure you turn the VPN ON/OFF from within the PandaPow application, you won't need to "Trust this application" each time. It's only if you disconnect via the Android system, by tapping the status notification and then "Disconnect", that you will have to "trust" the application again. Also if you restart the phone, you need to "trust" the app again.

If you've successfully connected before, but it's not connecting anymore, try first to restart your network. Do that by enabling airplane mode on your device, then disabling it. If the problem persists, you can also try restarting your phone. If this is the first time you're connecting on this network, try changing some VPN settings. Open the VPN settings by clicking the settings button, or select VPN from the settings menu. There you can select a different server, change protocol, and ports. Note: After changing any setting, you must click the Apply button for the changes take affect. Another way to change server is to click the Bump button. This will switch to a new server address, but the protocol and port will remain. If the problem persists, submit your log and we'll take a look and get back to you. To submit the log, select Help from the menu and click Submit Log.
Whenever the app detects a disconnection that was not expected, it will try to reconnect automatically. If you notice that you don't get reconnected automatically, then please submit the log. Important: Submit the log before connecting again, because otherwise we can't see what caused the the disconnection. To submit the log, select Help from the menu and click Submit Log.
If your ISP is blocking these sites, chances are that your Android device is polluted with wrong IP addresses for these sites. The only solution to this problem is to wait, sometimes a few minutes are needed. To reduce the chance of this happening, make sure you don't have any automatic updating enabled when you're not connected to PandaPow. If you're using a dedicated app, we can recommend trying the browser instead. For instance, if the Facebook app won't open, try opening facebook.com in the Browser instead. Chances are it will work. If all else fails, we'd recommend rebooting your Android device. If that doesn't help, please contact us about the problem.
This can be caused by intermittent server or network issues. First thing to try is to "Bump" the server. Do that in the app by clicking the Bump button. Most of the time, this will fix the problem. If the problem persists, try changing ports or protocol. Click settings button, then change either settings, then click Apply. This will reconnect the VPN. If the problem continues, drop us an email on [email protected] and we'll help.
Using a VPN may affect speed and latency of your internet connection. The PandaPow app always tries to select a server that is close to you, in the country of your choice. To improve speed further, you can try to Select Countryto one that is closer to your actual location. You can also try the integrated speed test to help you find a better connection for your particular location. Just turn the VPN off and click the Test button. Beware:the speed test might use a lot of data to test speed. If you're on a mobile connection with limited data plan, you should probably think twice before running the test. The speed test will test download speed for a selection of servers. If you want to test more servers, click Run again. Once finish, click the top server in the test results and select Connect. NOTE: The speed test isn't testing the speed of the VPN connection, so it might not always be accurate. If the top server is still not fast, try the second best, et c.
