How to set up IPSec on BlackBerry OS 10

NOTE: This description is for BlackBerry OS 10 and later only.

 

Step1

Tap on “Settings“.

 

Step 2

Tap on “Networks and Connections

 

Step 3

Tap on “VPN“.

 

Step 4

Tap on “Add VPN Profile

 

Step 5

Enter the following information:

  • Profile Name: PandaPow
  • Server Address: Enter a server address, available servers are found here: List of available IPsec servers
  • Gateway Type: Generic IKEv2 VPV Server
  • Authentication Type: EAP-MSCHAPv2
  • Authenticate ID Type: Email Address

Scroll down and go to the next step.

 

Step 6

Enter the following information:

  • Authentication ID: Enter your PandaPow vpn username here (pp*****)
  • MSCHAPv2 EAP Identity: Enter your PandaPow vpn username here (pp*****)
  • MSCHAPv2 Username: Enter your PandaPow vpn username here (pp*****)
  • MSCHAPv2 Password: Enter your PandaPow vpn account password here

Scroll down and go to the next step.

 

Step 7

Enter the following information:

  • Gateway Auth Type: PSK
  • Gateway Auth ID Type: IPv4
  • Gateway PreShared Key: HowEasy (Please mind the capital letters)
  • Perfect Forward Secrecy: Off
  • Automatically determine IP: On

Scroll down and go to the next step.

 

Step 8

Check that the following information is correct:

  • Automatically determine DNS: On
  • Automatically determine algorithm: On
  • IKE Lifetime (seconds): 86400
  • IPsec Lifetime (seconds): 10800

Scroll down and go to the next step.

 

Step 9

Check that the following information is correct:

  • NAT Keep Alive (seconds): 30
  • DPD Frequency (seconds): 240
  • Use Proxy: Off

Tap “Save“.

 

Step 10

Your PandaPow IPsec vpn connection configuration is complete.

 

Step 11

Tap the VPN connection to connect, it should turn green when successfully connected.

 

Step 12

To disconnect tap and hold the VPN connection, then select “Disconnect“.

 

Congratulations! You are done.
