Mac OS X 10.7 and Later
On Mac OS X 10.7 and later, it is possible to use the same configuration file used for iPhones and iPads. To set it up, follow below steps.
Step1
Log in to the client-area. Click on the VPN account that you wish to use, in the list of VPN accounts that you have (you might have more than one).
Step 2
On the details page for the VPN account you will find a link for downloading an iOS configuration file. Download this and open it. Now you should be asked to install the PandaPow profile. Do so.
If the above doesn’t work for some reason, then skip to the setup instructions for Mac OS 10.6 or 10.5 instead.
Step 3
Go to System Preferences > Network and you should find the PandaPow VPN configurations created and ready to use. Click on one of the VPN configurations, then check the Show VPN status in menu bar.
Step 4
To connect or disconnect you can now use the menu bar VPN icon. Note, this is not the PandaPow icon, but another icon for Mac’s VPN.
Trouble shooting
If for some reason the connection fails, please let us know. To help us trouble-shoot the problem we need to see the system.log. To find this file, open the Console application and under Files in the left panel, click system.log .
Please also include other relevant information, such as:
- Your PandaPow account id
- Your IP address (click here to find out)
