How to start using PandaPow for Android

Android 4.0 and later

To use PandaPow you need a VPN account. If you don’t have on, please pick a plan here and complete the payment.

Step 0.

Install PandaPow for Android

Step 1.

Open the PandaPow app, fill in your VPN username and password and Sign in.

The username and password were sent to you in an email after you signed up.

Step 1

If you don’t have the account email, you can also find your VPN username and password in the client area.

Step 2

A screen should appear that lets you turn a switch to ON. Do that and wait for it to connect.

Step 2

Step 3

Once connected you will also see a key icon in the status bar to let you know the VPN is on. To turn the VPN off again, simply open the app and turn the switch to OFF.

Step 3

Quick tips

  • To run the speed test to multiple servers, disconnect the VPN and click on the “Test” button. After you have finished the speed test, you can connect to a server by tapping on it, and then choosing “Connect”.

Troubeshooting

In case you can not connect, try changing a few settings:

  • Try changing to another server or using the “Bump” button.
  • Try changing to another country
  • Try changing VPN protocol from UDP to TCP or vice versa
  • Try changing the “Remote port” to 443 or 80

Remember to Apply the settings you have just changed!

Manual setup

If for some reason you can’t download the app, or it’s not supported on your device, you can also try the Android built-in VPN, just follow the manual setup instructions for Android 4.0 or later.

Android 3.0 and earlier

First: download the old PandaPow app from Google Play

If that doesn’t work, try one of the other alternative download links here.

Once installed, the PandaPow app is only a couple of taps away from connected:

Step 1

Open the PandaPow app on your Android device.

Step 2

Fill in the username and password that you received in an email from us when signing up for the account.

If you don’t have the account email, you can find the username and password in the client area.

Step 2.5 (For L2TP/IPSec) Install Certificate

If you plan to use the L2TP/IPSec. for highest possible security, you need to install a certificate. Go to the client-area where you will find a link to download the certificate. Click the link on your device, and follow the instructions to decode and install it. Make sure you rename the certificate to PandaPow before you install it.

Step 3 Connect

If your device has Android 3.0 or later, then please skip to the next section.

Once username and password is set, all you need to do is click connect:

If you run into problems connecting, check the Android FAQ.

If that doesn’t solve the problem, don’t hesitate to send us a problem report (in the app tap Help then Send!).

Step 3 Connect (Manually)

If your Android device doesn’t support 1 click connect (currently this is true for Android 3.0 and later and certain custom Android versions) you need to setup and connect manually. Here’s a guide for this.
