Beasts of No Nation Plot
Beasts of No Nation traces the story of a young boy, Agu, caught in the throes of civil war in an unspecified West African country. Separated from his family, and wandering in the jungle he was captured by the rebel forces that forcefully conscripted him and hence he became a child soldier.
Thus began an experience that transformed a once innocent kid to a heartless, cold killing machine. The review on Rotten Tomatoes adeptly summaries the ethos of the film “Beast of No Nation… offers a sobering, uncompromising, yet still somehow hopeful picture of war’s human cost”
An elegant story delivered in a concise and punchy style, triggering storms of emotions and reminding us of the heavy cost humanity pays for the brunt of war.
